SEC 521 Integrated Standards-Based Learning Design for the Secondary Social Studies Classroom

This course provides secondary social studies educators with a comprehensive understanding of historical thinking, civic engagement, geographical literacy, and economic reasoning within a social studies curriculum. Candidates will examine national and state standards, explore research-based instructional strategies, and design engaging lessons that promote critical inquiry and democratic participation.
