Program Description
Education professionals today must be prepared to teach, design, administer, and lead in evolving environments. The educator of tomorrow will require skills to develop and provide educational programs to help learners understand technology, interpret abstract concepts, solve unique problems, work as effective team members, embrace authenticity and inclusion, and develop critical-thinking skills. The AIU School of Education’s Master of Education (M.Ed.) program offers a variety of educational approaches and advanced practices appropriate for all levels of professional educational practitioners including K-12, higher education and corporate learning. Candidates have the opportunity to engage with technology, learning theory, learning science, instructional design, eLearning initiatives, teacher leadership, instructional coaching, and educational administration.
Master of Education and Teacher Licensure
Although the Master of Education degree is not designed to meet state educator licensing or advancement requirements, it may assist candidates in gaining these approvals in their state of residence depending on those requirements. Contact the state board of education in the applicable state(s) for details.
