Academic Year
The University Academic Calendar is based on the quarter system. Quarter terms are 10 weeks in length and academic progress is measured in quarter credit hours. AIU defines the academic year as 36 credit hours and 30 weeks for undergraduate programs and 27 hours and 30 weeks for graduate, which includes three quarters per academic year.
