AIU International Scholarship
Offered at Online, Atlanta and Houston
The AIU International Scholarship is awarded to international students whose academic record is considered worthy of recognition. The scholarship award can be up to $8,000 per academic year and is to be used toward tuition and fees for study in any bachelor's or master's degree program. The scholarship will be disbursed proportionately throughout the length of the program. Students who receive the scholarship for a bachelor's program and wish to continue in a master's program must reapply to receive the scholarship for that program.
Students must adhere to the AIU General Grant and Scholarship Conditions. The grant may not be combined with any other scholarship or grant.
To be eligible for the AIU International Scholarship, candidates must:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better (or its international equivalent) from either high school/secondary school or college, which is verified as part of the international transcript evaluation process outlined in the catalog. If the transcript does not include a GPA, a student who has completed at least 12 credits at AIU may be considered for the scholarship based on their AIU GPA. Although AIU does not require GRE or GMAT scores for graduate admissions, master’s degree scholarship applicants may provide test scores as an alternative to the GPA requirement (minimum of 300 for GRE, and 550 for GMAT).
- Be defined as an international student. Students planning to attend a U.S. campus must submit a completed I-20 form with their Application for Admission to support the issuance of their student visa.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at AIU.
- Submit an application which includes all required elements, including an essay.
Interested candidates should contact the AIU International Student Coordinator or the Education Alliances Center for application information.
