Reuse or Repurposing Prior Assignments

If an instructor is not made aware of work being repurposed or re-used, an instructor will treat the assignment as a plagiarized task and reserves the right to post an F grade for the assignment.

Re-use: Students who are retaking the same course may use work submitted in a previous iteration of the course in its entirety without penalty. Students who intend to submit a paper in its entirety must contact their faculty member to discuss any recommendations before submission. As with every task, students must uphold academic integrity; therefore, they can only re-use work that is original to them. Resubmission does not guarantee that the grade earned on prior submission will be equaled or improved.

Repurposing: Students may choose to repurpose portions of previously submitted coursework from a different course. No more than 30% of a paper, excluding references, may be repurposed. Students who intend to repurpose prior coursework must contact their faculty member to discuss any recommendations before submission. As with every task, students must uphold academic integrity. Repurposing of this prior work is subject to the same requirements as referencing other sources.
