AIU Resilience Grant

Offered at Online, Atlanta and Houston

The AIU Resilience Grant is designed to assist new students who are enrolled in a Title IV eligible program at AIU but due to extenuating circumstances are unable to pursue their education without financial assistance. This includes those who are not eligible for external programs such as federal or state financial aid, military benefits, or employer tuition reimbursement.

The grant is need-based and intended to assist students in covering remaining tuition and fees charges after it has been determined that the student is not eligible for external financial assistance and the student has established a minimum monthly payment of $250 with the University. Eligible students receive an institutional grant toward the published tuition and fees. The grant, when combined with the student payments, may be awarded up to direct institutional charges, including but not limited to, tuition, fees, and course materials. The grant will only apply to eligible current or future charges at the University's discretion. The grant is applied as a credit to the student’s account. The grant is not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or credit.

Students must adhere to the AIU General Grant and Scholarship Conditions. The grant may not be combined with any other scholarship or grant.

Eligibility

• Students must have exhausted all external financial assistance options
• Consideration for the AIU Resilience Grant will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Department
• Student must complete the grant acknowledgement disclosure
• Student must establish a minimum monthly payment of $250 with the University
• The student must be current on their University payment plan to remain eligible

If a student becomes eligible for external financial assistance or their previous financial assistance eligibility is reinstated, the student will no longer be eligible for the grant.

The AIU Resilience Grant is need-based and limited to a maximum of 75 recipients per academic session across all locations. The grant, which is subject to availability of funds, will be disbursed at the completion of each academic term after determination that the grant eligibility criteria have been met. Students who do not meet the eligibility criteria are responsible for any remaining account balance including that attributed to the loss of the grant.

International students (those attending on a F-1 visa) are not eligible for this grant.
