Learning Assessment
At American Intercontinental University (AIU), the curricular framework highlights the centrality of evaluation of student learning outcomes in the program. The assessment framework encapsulates a vision that program learning outcomes should complement the Mission and be closely aligned with the Institutional Outcomes. An Assessment Plan outlines the evaluation of specific outcomes each year as part of the direct measures of student learning through a series of Common Assessments, Capstones, and Exit Exams. Outcomes are also aligned with the standards of programmatic accreditors (where applicable) and General Education Outcomes are systematically assessed through the distribution categories as well as in the core courses in the discipline.
