AIU departmental clubs are available for most majors at AIU. Consult your Program Chair for verification and membership requirements. 



Business Students Club:  The purpose of the Business Students club is to encourage charitable works, promote community service and build higher academic achievement among students in business programs at the AIU Houston Campus. 


Career Development Club:  The purpose of the Career Development Club is to bring AIU Houston students together to provide career guidance, support, and coaching for career planning Criminal Justice Club  


Criminal Justice Club: This club is comprised of criminal justice students or any other students interested in the field of criminal justice.The members will help with various campus functions as needed, such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities support functions.The club will arrange professional speakers from the various professional areas of criminal justice (law enforcement, corrections, forensics, homeland security, etc.) and arrange field trips to area criminal justice facilities. Special Interest Organizations These organizations are usually active on a seasonal basis and encompass a variety of opportunities for students to explore interests and develop ideas. 


Short Story Club:  This club is comprised of students from all departments.Students will read short stories and learn about well known authors.Members will improve their literacy skills and have the opportunity to participate in short story writing contests throughout the year.The club will also provide an opportunity to socialize and network with other students at AIU without requiring a lot of their personal time as the students will read stories during the meetings.


Student Photographic Society (SPS) The purpose of the Student Photographic Society (SPS) club is to provide an opportunity for students building photography resources and networking opportunities.Students can learn how to create interesting photographs with good exposure and composition, as well as use software to digitally manipulate images. “Since 1999, SPS has been providing photography students with career building resources, networking opportunities and valuable industry information.” - StudentPhoto.com 


International Club:  The purpose of the International Club is to provide an opportunity for students to foster relationships among a culturally diverse student body with those who are interested in sharing and experiencing cultures through social and educational events. HONOR SOCIETIES 


Mu Episilon: Chapter Houston of Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, an International Society in Business Purpose The purpose of this society shall be to encourage higher scholarship and to recognize and reward scholastic achievement in business programs. Membership Undergraduates and candidates for the baccalaureate degree who have completed one half and not more than three quarters of the work required for the degree must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.8 or better on a scale of 4.0, and must be in the top 20% of the school academically.Undergraduates and candidates for the baccalaureate degree who have completed three quarters or more of the work required for the degree must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.73 or better on a scale of 4.0 and must be in the top 20% of the school academically. Graduate students in a master’s degree program who have completed at least one-half of the work required for the master’s degree must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.73 or better on a 4.0 scale, and must be in the top 15% of the school academically.Membership into Delta Mu Delta is by invitation only, and students who accept their invitation to join must pay a one-time fee of $80.
