General Education Block Transfer

A student possessing an earned associate degree from a regionally accredited institution at the time of admission may be eligible for a general education block transfer of credits into selected degree programs at AIU. The general education block transfer allows for up to 63 quarter hours to be awarded toward a student’s bachelor’s degree program. Depending on the degree program, prerequisite course requirements may need to be satisfied, and additional courses may be required if the courses are essential for successful completion of the student’s degree program. AIU may require additional evaluation by the University before a block transfer can be awarded. A block transfer may be awarded after the associate degree content is reviewed and determined general education requirements are met and the degree was earned with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
