Online Class Options
AIU provides student opportunities for online learning through Virtual Campus and Hybrid class options. Hybrid class options combine in-class instruction with online learning. Students are provided access to online options through the Student Portal. Tools available to the student include technical support, an online library, and student orientation.
AIU Online’s alternative delivery modalities are designed to help develop these skills and outcomes for students using lectures and course content via rich multimedia presentations; interacting one-on-one and in groups with instructors and fellow classmates, via email, online chats and discussion boards; and completing group projects while developing a network of contacts, friendships and relationships with students from around the world.
As a minimum, new students must have access to a computer and the Internet and must attend the online orientation prior to beginning coursework.
Students taking advantage of blended learning opportunities by enrolling in online classes are highly recommended to take a minimum of one on-ground class during that same term.
